Extended Walking

This walking group caters for walkers who want to venture farther afield or to tackle more challenging terrain.

Please note the following warnings for those considering taking part in the extended walks:

The walks on the programme have been designed to be within the compass of any member who is used to walking in the hills and has a good overall level of health and fitness. None of the walks involve climbing up mountains or serious scrambling!

All walks are, of course, subject to revision and the leader always has the right to change the listed walk, if circumstances demand it. This will be especially true in the winter months when travel, as well as walking, might prove difficult.

The walks are normally scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of the month but remember that departure times from Sandbach vary according to travel distance and hours of daylight.

All distances are very approximate and an ETA back in Sandbach is very difficult to give.  Please contact the walk leader for advice.  For any general queries please contact Ralph Browes (ralph.browes@btopenworld.com) on 01270 764281 or 07748 524514.
